Jaggery – Gur / देशी गुड़
|Place of Origin
We serve original Black Jaggery (Gur). It is the most appropriate alternative for white sugar and it fully loaded with nutritious supplement.
Black Jaggery is too much different from white sugars . All photonutrients present in the white sugar gets flushed at the time of its processing that makes it totally free from nutrients whereas in jaggery, all nutrients remains as it is even after completion of processing that makes it a natural and healthy sweetener. This Jaggery will not only tickle your sweetness but its aroma will refresh you.
- If there is any bitterness, it means that it has gone through the process of caramelisation during the boiling process.
- Presence of crystals indicates that the jaggery may have gone through other processes to make it sweeter. Avoid it.
- Ideally the colour of the jaggery should be dark brown. The yellowish colour in gur may indicate chemical treatment.
- Prefer buying hard jaggery; this ensures that there are no additives added while boiling the sugarcane juice.
